When you actually sit down to think of the various events or occasions when companies could use promotionral pens, the list goes on forever! No wonder that it is such a firm favorite with companies when deciding what promotional items to use to make customers aware of their company or product.
There are many companies who use promotional pens as a matter of course – take banks, for example. You will always find their pens with their company name in all branches, at the counters where clients have to complete forms. Generally, these promotional pens are reasonably inexpensive, and are often not even secured to the counters, so that clients can take them away with them. Just think of the number of promotional pens that these banks must go through on an annual basis. But it’s a drop in the ocean of their advertising budget, and a very inexpensive way to always have their company name out there, exposed to their clients. One would think that huge companies such as the banks don’t need to advertise their company name, but even they consider it an important advertising tool.
Some companies like to hand out more expensive sets of promotional pens as gifts to their clients, to thank them for business given to them. There is a wonderful selection of pen and pencil sets on the market today, which are relatively inexpensive, but appear very classy. With your company name printed on the pens, you are using your advertising budget really well, getting your name on your clients’ desks all day long. These are also a good way of thanking your existing customers at the end of the year. You can also give out promotional pens to potential customers, when calling on them to promote your company or your product.
Think of other uses for promotional pens. Conference delegates always seem to appear at a conference without a pen! You can include promotional pens with the conference pack, and it’s bound to be used by them when making notes, and kept by the delegates after the conference. What better way of promoting your company, without actually having to speak to potential clients?
Political parties are also known to have thousands of promotional pens printed with their party colors and names, and these are given out at national meetings, at elections, at pretty much any occasion that they can. It manages to reinforce the party name, and is a very useful and affordable way of advertising.
Companies also use promotional pens when launching a new product. It’s a great handout, it doesn’t cost a lot to purchase or advertise on, and the coverage can be enormous. Even sports or social events can use promotional pens as a handout. Golf days, bridge drives, bingo games – the list is endless. You’ll always find people are glad to receive something for nothing, and if it is useful, then it’s more than likely to be kept and used by the recipient, thereby quietly doing your companies’ advertising work for you!
