Business speakers

Business speakers are those individuals who translate genuine knowledge, ideas and skill into a powerful presentation with their intellectual power to gain the influence of a target audience.

The business speakers can be categorized in three groups: motivational speakers, inspirational speakers & celebrity speakers. They play the foremost important role for the survival of an organization; in other words, they are the leading exponents in a broad range of business interests. Being a business speaker is not like a name-tag that one pins over his coat to identify himself; it requires more than that. What defines one as a business speaker is his possession of:

1. Genuine ability to convey mission and convince the audience through motivation and inspiration, or both;

2. Do not only show interest; possess it within;

3. Expertise in wide range of general, personal & corporate knowledge in the chosen field; and

4. Being well trained and experienced;


Preparation:
Ahead of getting to the stand, a business speaker has to determine; who his / her audiences are and what he / she wants to achieve out of the speech. Then he / she has to prepare presentation based on the subject given, and should leave no stone unturned to gather every pinch of information.

In this fastest growing era of business, almost all companies and organizations hire business speakers to keep their business running.

One can apply for such job with attractive, informative and impressive resume with sole content of truth to the HR department or the Marketing / Publicity Division of the company. Companies hire motivational & inspirational speakers for the purpose of motivating and inspiring their target audience. In the case of hiring celebrity speakers, they get them to work to draw vast private and public interest.


Becoming a business speaker:
If you want to become a good business speaker and determined to be successful, here are the tips:

1. Do not do what you dislike. Chose the topics that you like speaking.

2. Plan and prepare well for your presentation in advance.

3. While planning, keep in mind; whom you will be speaking to and what you need to achieve from the session.

4. Your presentation should be focused on the public interest first, and then yours.

5. Do not be too objective on your speech; add some subjective material and a bit of humour.

6. Say what you believe in, if that is permissible, and keep an evidence of proof to justify its validity.

7. Try to always convey the truth, whenever possible.

8. Do not use the word “I” if it is not necessary. Try to say we, us, you, our etc.

With no offence to anyone in this field, there is one obstacle in this job, is that, business speakers sometimes tend to or being bound to play the role of manipulator and are expected to be a psychiatrist to some extend.

Business speakers just do not influence people, they change the trend; they change the norms of the society.
