Using the Correct Towels
Towels, towels, towels. Do you have tons of perfectly good hand towels, holiday beach towels, and scotch beach towels all mixed into one cupboard? Well if this is the case as it is with many people and one linen closet, you may end up using your holiday beach towels for your next shower, or lazing on the beach with your bath towel. This is a big no, no!
When you purchase towels for your bathroom, there is another way to ensure that they get used the way they should by every member of your household. You should separate them and make sure that even the sets are kept separate from other sets. While this may sound like a massive waste of space and a little bit silly to have bath robes and towels all over the house, there is method in the madness.
One such way to make things easier at first is to keep your scotch beach towels and holiday beach towels packed will all your holiday gear. If you live near the beach, then keep them where you keep your beach umbrella, chairs and kids toys. You can arrange to have a small chest in this area, and if you keep these items in the garage, then make sure you put moth balls in and around where the towels are.
If you have two or more bathrooms then keeping your hand towels and body wrap wash clothes as well as your bath towels separate is easy. Simply take the towels that you use for each bathroom and put them in the respective bathroom closets or close to each bathroom. The bathrobes as a matter of fact, can hang on the back of the door and by using some interesting hooks you can make quite a feature of this. You can do the same for your bath towels. Invest in some large bath racks and you can roll the towels and store them inside the bathroom. This is also a great help when you get into the bath or shower and forget to take a clean towel. Now they will always be handy.
When you buy towels the best way to keep them looking new and fluffy is to only use them for the correct place, and most importantly, keep your pet towels away from the family towels. Never keep them together because there are excess pet hairs that may not come out during washing and you will never want to grab one of your pet towels when you take a shower.
Taking this advice is the best way to keep your towels looking and feeling great and will actually save you from buying more all the time, because someone has taken the bath towel to the beach and ruined it. By having one or two sets of hand towels and bath towels dedicated to each bathroom, you will also find that they do not wear out as quickly and will always be ready when you need one.
