Fridge freezers come in many different styles. Some freezers are at the top of the fridge some are situated at the bottom and on double door fridges these freezers are on one side of the fridge and the fridge is on the other side. The best choice of fridge freezers in these modern times is a no frost fridge freezer. This type of fridge requires very little maintenance except for a little cleaning even once in a while, but they never have to be defrosted, unless on the rear occasion where there is a build up of ice and some of the ducts get clogged with ice, then you will have to give the fridge a once over and unplug it and allow all the ice to melt completely before turning it back on again.
This type of ice build up can be avoided by taking certain precautions when handling your fridge or freeze. First of all you should make sure that when you open the fridge or freeze door the take something out you should close the door as quickly as possible. A very good example of this is when someone wants some as from the freezer, ok so they open the freezer because it is not one of those ice making fridges, and goes to the sink to remove the ice from the ice try and in the meanwhile the freezer door is left open during this time. This is one of the major causes that can cause those ice build up in your fridge, when too much hot air is allowed to enter the fridge for an unnecessary long period of time.
This may be a difficult practice for those people with kids, but if you tell them to keep the fridge door closed often enough, they will eventually get the idea and will automatically close it each time they use the fridge to get something. Another good example of a bad way to treat your fridge is when say you are looking for something to eat, and you open the fridge door and keep looking inside for a few minutes, all this time hot air is getting into the fridge and cooling the cold air which can lead to ice build up in the fridge, this is a very typical habit for teenagers and another good example of how to avoid ice build up in your fridge.
It is very important for you to take care of your no frost fridge, because they are not only very difficult to fix, but sometimes it can be virtually impossible to get the correct replacement part in a hurry, and you can very well end up a couple of weeks waiting for that part to arrive.
