Tired from poker

I am so tired today, I don’t know why. I have been up rather late the last nights playing online poker, but that is something I do regularly without it ever having affected my energy this much before. Could it be that I am getting older? I hate signs of getting older, few things are as depressing. Regardless of what reason, I feel like I don’t really have the energy for anything. Apart from maybe playing some more poker…

Tonight I think I will do something else though… There is a film I’ve wanted to see for a really long time, for example. I don’t remember the name of it but it is a play made of Harold Pinter, and the main actors are Jude Law and Michael Caine. It is a really odd plot, I’ve heard, and it is the kind of movie where you have no idea how it all will end until it does.
Another really nice film I have seen before and cannot wait to see again is Hard Candy. That movie is similar to the other, because it has so many twists and turns that in the long run you have no idea who the hero or the villain is any longer. I like those kinds of movies, where you don’t feel like the director assumes you’re stupid. Like classical chick movies, or stupid action ones. Sure, I can like those too, but I would rather see something that keeps me on the edge of my chair, wondering what will happen next.

I just wished I hadn’t stayed up all night playing poker. Now I am almost so tired that I don’t even want to watch a movie, just go to bed the minute I get home. However, poker is very fun too… And if I know myself, and I do, I will be back in front of the computer screen betting and raising. I can’t help myself, it is just too much fun to not play. And as long as I make at least the same amount of money that I spend I can’t really see any other problems with it than the fact that I am a bit tired the morning after. Maybe I – despite of my sleepiness – will catch both the Michael Caine movie and play some poker as well…
